WeBA Members help Haiti

WeBA Member Airworks Compressors Corp donates much needed equipment to Haiti rescue and relief effort.

As the people of Haiti continue in the search for their missing loved ones in the aftermath of the huge earthquake that devastated their island home several weeks ago, their efforts and the efforts of volunteers from countries around the globe are hampered by the lack of equipment available.

Darryl Weflen, owner of Airworks Compressors Corp, a small air compressor manufacturer in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada was acutely aware of the shortage of material and equipment.   He resolved to do what Albertans do best, help!  His company donated a Twister T185 to the United Nations Haiti relief effort.  The Twister T185 is  a compact portable  air compressor capable of operating three jack hammers at a time to help recover lost loved ones.  Employees donated their time to help with shipping costs.  This is a very special air compressor as its unique small size allows it to be mounted on the back of a truck and to be operated in confined spaces and remote areas.

The generosity of  Weflen and the employees of Airworks Compressors Corp is overwhelming and will make the rescue efforts in Haiti that much less painful for all involved.

WeBA launches Advertising Opportunity with
The Edmonton Examiner

WeBA is constantly seeking ways to increase the opportunities for our membership and allow greater benefit from their affiliation in an effort to promote West Edmonton business.

We have recently negotiated a very significant discount on advertising cost with the local community publication The Edmonton Examiner. They have agreed to support WeBA in a "Shop Local" branded marketing and advertising campaign that will focus on West Edmonton Business and distributed to residents of West Edmonton.

The Edmonton Examiner is now officially the highest circulated publication in Edmonton reaching well over 140,000 homes each week. This is more than both daily publications in Edmonton combined.

The Edmonton Examiner has put together this program at our request to allow small to medium business take advantage of Edmonton's highest circulated publication. Focusing only on West Edmonton our members will be offered highly reduced rates, over 50% regular rates, on a branded page that will run either weekly or monthly in the West Edmonton zones. Your ad would be viewed by well over 50,000 people each week at a very reasonable cost, as little as $150.00. Additionally we will get an opportunity to promote WeBA as a part of this publication each week.

Over the coming weeks you may receive a call from a customer service representative at The Edmonton Examiner. Please use this opportunity to get more information as required.

If you want to more now please contact Ted Dakin (Sales Manager) 780-444-5450, or Email him at tdakin@edmontonexaminer.com
